History
of Alpha Kappa Psi
Alpha Kappa Psi was founded by
a group of young men on October 5, 1904, just 4 years after New York
University started offering degrees in Commerce, Accounts, and Finance.
This makes Alpha Kappa Psi the oldest Business Fraternity in the United
States. These men wanted to help new business people develop good
business skills, ethics, and ideals.. In these last hundred years Alpha
Kappa Psi has expanded all over the country, and even has some chapters
abroad in other countries. With over 260 college chapters, and more than
175,000 members, it is still a fast growing organization.

Local History
Locally, the Eta Theta chapter at Texas Tech
University was founded on May 21, 1966, making us the first professional
business fraternity on the Texas Tech Campus. Since then we have
dedicated ourselves to developing ourselves professionally, and shaping
the future business leaders across the globe. Not only do we provide
services exclusively to our members, but we volunteer and give back to
our community. Our extensive local Alumni list include Randy
Naugebauer (Congressman), and Tom Craddick!
