How is Alpha Kappa Psi different from other fraternities?
Alpha Kappa Psi focuses primarily on professionalism and a common interest in finance, accounting, management and business administration. However, like other fraternities, our members value brotherhood during both the good and hard times.
What is rush?
Rush is a weeklong process in which various events invite potential members to meet the active and alumni brothers of Alpha Kappa Psi. It also allows these rushees to get a personal preview for what Alpha Kappa Psi is all about.
What is pledging?
Pledging is a six-week long process in which you will learn about the chapter, and experience what it takes to be an active member. During pledging you will learn about brotherhood, professionalism and teamwork. You will learn time management skills while working together with your pledge class, learning about the Eta Theta chapter.
What are the minimum requirements to join Alpha Kappa Psi?
To join Alpha Kappa Psi, you must uphold the GPA standard of the Rawls College of Business, a 2.75. If you do not meet our requirements this semester feel free to still come to our rush events to have any questions answered. We welcome you to come back and check us out during the next semester.
Does Alpha Kappa Psi only take Business majors?
No, we welcome all majors, as every career choice uses business skills. Currently, our members are working to obtain a variety of degrees.
How much of a time commitment is Alpha Kappa Psi?
The six week pledge semester has the most time commitment. Once you are an active, the time comment is up to each individual and how active you would like to be. You get out what you put in. Alpha Kappa Psi provides opportunities and resources to grow as a professional, a leader and a brother. |
